Finding the Best Free WordPress Themes

With literally thousands of free WordPress themes from which to choose, it can be quite time consuming searching through page after page of theme thumbnails, laboriously previewing the ones of interest one after the other after the other.

There are some very useful databases of WordPress themes, submitted by theme developers all over the world. Some of these free themes may not have been completely tested and can sometimes be buggy. Others are superbly designed with tight, efficient code.

It’s not hard to find free themes. Just Google any of the following phrases to yield more results than you can sift throuh in a lifetime:

• wordpress themes
• free wordpress themes
• best free wordpress themes
• top free wordpress themes

In searching through many of the results, you’ll find that many of the sites listed are featuring many of the same themes. Some themes are nice, others quite humdrum.

Occasionally, though, I’ll stumble upon a real gem of a site. Some of these sites may have no more than just a few themes on hand, but if they’re unique, special, eye-catching – well, these are the sites I’m interested in.

My plan with this post is to continually update it with new information about free WordPress themes as I come across them. So check back often.
